I am a native Mandarin speaker and an English Literature student at the University of Calgary with a strong passion for language, education, and creativity. I have a year of experience teaching at a Montessori kindergarten in China, where I designed engaging lessons and supported student development. Additionally, I have volunteered at the Calgary Public Library, leading a creative writing club for children. These roles have honed my skills in communication, lesson planning, and inspiring children’s love of learning, while reinforcing my commitment to multiculturalism and community-focused education.
I am passionate about inspiring and fostering students’ active interest in learning Chinese by designing course content and teaching methods tailored to different age groups. I believe that interactive teaching methods, combined with games, can effectively spark students’ enthusiasm for learning Chinese while enhancing their practical language skills.
