Wanda Tong

It is my honor to serve as the principal of the Calgary Chinese Private School community. I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Leadership Administration from the University of Calgary, where I have also completed my bachelor of education degree. I am currently a Principal registered under the Alberta Teacher Association and have been an administrator for the past 10 years.

In 2010, I was awarded a bursary from the ATA to attend the Confucius Classroom exchange program in Shanghai, where I was inspired to bring the Chinese language, culture, and history to my community in Calgary. The Calgary Chinese Private School is a very special place for me because I have volunteered at the school when I first immigrated here from Hong Kong with my family.

My hope is to build strong connections and partnerships between the school and our families, in creating a culture where students find success in learning the Chinese culture and language. I am passionate in leading a vibrant school community at the Calgary Chinese Private School. I am committed in creating a fun-filled Chinese language learning experience for every child!
